Hello Shadowghost, how are you doing? Been thinking about about you. Glad to see you posting again.........It really helped me through a dark time to communicate with this forum after my husband passed away.

Hi, Thank you all for your thoughts, I am still trying to deal with the shock of it all. I am glad myself and my daughters were there with him when he passed. He never woke up from the transplant as they had to not close him up, he was operatered on three times before our surgeon said he could do no more for him. We made the decision to unplug the machines and stop all meds except pain meds and let him go. He is just so missed, his humor is lingering though. My girls pointed out he passed on Friday the 13th and we picked up his ashes on April fools day. So right now he is resting in his chair facing his TV and I have his favorite shows on...... but I have the REMOTE :)

Sue my husband's death was expected.........so I wasn't in shock but at the time everything seemed like a dream......that I was watching from the outside is the best way that I can explain it.

I felt like I was on a merry go round the first year and a half.........all the different feelings....kept recycling around......I'd be sad for a while, then scared, then angry (sometimes at him, or me or the doctors) then they circle back around and around........it was like I was in a long dark tunnel with no light at the end. I finally was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and now I am not in that tunnel any longer thank God.

You had me rolling about the TV and remote.....LOL Remind me to tell you a little story like that.........take care........thoughts and prayers......
