Hi Daddy's Girl!
I am so glad you got a visit! you will probably get more. Everyone sure processes grief in their own way, but, given that I'm 20 years sober and drinking isn't an option, I found hanging with people who where not afraid to talk about death and loss, who did not want to "fix" me, was really helpful. I told (and tell) my ex's story a lot (NOT his death story but all about us, who we were together, what I loved about him, and what irritated the crap out of me). I talked to him a lot, told him the same things, what I was mad about, what I sought forgiveness for. His family was beyond the pale awful, no memorial, no nothing, sent awful emails, but luckily, by then I was ok, figured they must be feeling pretty bad, I knew he and I were ok so wasn't worried about what his family had to say. As Sandi wrote, I just love him and that love energy has to go somewhere, so I have no doubt that he knows that.
