After being inactive for a year, I spoke with our transplant coordinator, and my husband is officially back on the list!!! WOO HOO!!! His MELD score is only a 7 at this point, but he is active on the list. Now, we just need to keep him healthy enough to stay on the list. He was removed from the list due to seizures, etc. But, we now have those under control.

This has been a bittersweet day as while we received this good news, a couple of hours later, we received the news that a dear friend of ours lost her battle with breast cancer tonight.

Mer, so happy to hear that your hubby has been listed again!  Very sorry, though, about your friend's passing.  That truly was a bittersweet day.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I do a lot of fundraising and walking for breast cancer (along with other diseases) and it's always sad to hear of someone's passing...someone else's memory to walk on for.

Glad to hear things are looking up for your hubby though :-)

Thanks, Dany! I just got back from her memorial service, and it was a beautiful service! She was a fighter, and fought and stayed positive right until the end. I don't think I ever heard her complain!!!
