I'm 31 and was diagnosed with hep c, genotype 1a last year. The only time I've ever used needles in my life was at the doctor's office, and when I got my ears pierced, so it was definitely a surprise. I've learned however that all I can do now is keep myself healthy and stay positive. While I don't generally drink alcohol during the week, I'll usually have 2-3 drinks on both Friday and Saturday. I try to balance this out with lots of water and working out, but lately I've been concerned that maybe I'm hurting myself by drinking on the weekends.
A liver biopsy one year ago showed no liver damage so I'm still at stage 0 as far as I know. But lately I've had some weird issues and I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar issues and/or whether any of this could be a result of my liver getting worse. For example, last week I had a fever for 5 days straight. This was not followed by any other cold symptoms. And now, for the past two days my stool has been alarmingly green.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts on whether it could be liver related? Really appreciate your feedback. I should add, I also have ulcerative colitis but I've known about this for years and it's never caused temperature changes or green stool.
