my friend recently died from alcoholic liver failure, she sight was unbearable, she kept us all in the dark, telling us that it wasnt as bad, we believed her, at the end if was awful, how bad would she have suffered, i need to know. why was here catheter bad filled with this blackish stuff, why did she have sores all over her mouth, he stomach, legs and arms were grotesque, she kept vommiting blood, months before, why was that, please i just need to know.

Hi, Maggie, and welcome to the forum.  I'm sorry that your friend suffered so.  The urine turns very dark near the end.  She also could have had some bleeding.  The vomiting blood was likely bleeding varices (enlarged veins in her esophagus.)  Those are usually banded to prevent bleeding out, but it sounds like in her case they may not have been.  I really can't explain the sores, but liver disease patients do have some problems with blood not clotting.  If she continued to drink after diagnosis, she surely made everything worse.

I agree with arneeb/Sandi that you need to get some grief counseling or a support system for yourself.
