sad  is there anyone who has gone thru the treatment and lived to talk about  it??

  will you pleeeese i beg you- tell me how you fared?

 i m already sick with other serious stuff, i dont know if i can live thru the interferon treatment. sad confused

 yes, im scared.

hi!! i havent started them yet, i have to go get the thing down my throat test done in the morn and see about ulcers first and ainfections.  then after all that is taken care of , ill start. i had to stop all pn meds till after tomarrows procedure and i dread the pain i will awaken to more than anything.

 thank you for posting back to me. i hate being so apprehensive over all this. it is all so new tho. God bless, :-)

:-)  i!!! i survived the procedure, the iv went in the first time- yea!!! and the only bad part was the oxygen they gave me made me terribly sick and drunk feeling. so i dont know what it was and they was surprised also. it was really bad smelling and its just now left my system. ugh. but im glad i got it done and didnt cancel... they found a bunch of stuff bad and so now i have to get this all healed and fixed. they took biopsys also. ill let you know what happens. thank you so for asking. bless you .

oh i just read what i wrote...
what i went thru today was where they looked down my throat to see what was going on and if the crohns was back. so that got done and after this gets taken care of, then the interferon. so far tho im still having fevers.

I finished 48 weeks of combo therapy with interferon and ribavirin about 7 months ago. It was not easy, but yes, I am still alive. It was tough, I will admit that. I also had very good results, my viral load has been undetectable since week 12 of treatment. I chose treatment because I felt so terrible that I believed that it was worth a try. Had chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, spinal arthritis, hypertension, and depression. Most of my symptoms got worse during treatment but I had a good doc that treated the side effects such as pain, inability to sleep, depression, etc.

:-)  than you for that. i needed that. i will be glad when its over. i feel horrible today like im gona die, and i havent even started the treatment yet...

Hang in there. I know it is stressful plus you feel like heck but you will make it through, just try to take one day at a time and do what you need to do to make it through each day.
