Save the males !!!

I would just like to say that this forum has been a tremendous help to me but as I have learned from many here . It alarms me however that the rate of male patrons to this site has dwindled down to nothing . As predicted the sheer number of females participating here combined with the lack of any male mods has ran it's course , I further believe this pattern will not change . If you are male you have no opinion here . Don't say what you think because you don't matter . You lost your only resources to the keys to getting your husbands back on track and fighting to stay alive . Instead of listening to whats being said you ladies have chosen to brush aside anything remotely contrary to what you wanna hear .
You want answers that flip off the tongue with sweet soft scents that are appealing to your noses . The answers you seek are in a part of the male soul and that ladies is something you will never truly understand unless you listen !! A few women here have gotten it , Some have been coming here for years and are still just as thick headed as ever ( Love to talk , give advice , share a sob story but cant seem to move beyond the trauma of losing a loved one years later . In fact we have a few here who use that as there excuse to give advice . Think about it !! Does this sound like someone you need to take advice from ?
Go you one better , The room is occupied by people who will give you medical advice from a online medical dictionary basically . I have been down this route , And if a cold hard diagnosis suits you then stick to googling information and suffer the consequences of self diagnosis . No need to ask questions if you have the answers in a search engine !! When did this room stop nurturing the souls the souls of it's patrons with common sense advice and well learned results from those who suffered the fight ( In their own words not from a medical book ) . Shameful ..... . I devoted almost 3 years of information here to those who needed it and wished nothing more than savor another day to fight this battle . I shared my personal life details , Unspeakable horrors , Mental trauma suffered from fighting death off and don't regret a word I posted here . All I wanted was to heal and share what I could to the ones who needed it most , You lost me , You lost Mick and now it seems David is waning . Where is YOUR desire to help others ? When are the ones who are still here doing the right thing gonna stand and be counted and correct the misdeeds of others , It's not your problem right ? Think again . This room is only as good as it's knowledge base and from what I am observing that is drying up rather quickly . I know this post will likely never see itself being posted and in fact if it does make it through it will be removed later . To those of you who read these words I ask that you take a step back and really look at what your contributing too , Is this who you are ? Is what you see being done here really something you want on your conscious ? Did you stand aside and allow the true meaning of this room to be altered forever ?

i agree with you emma, the men that would post here before were amazing in their knowledge and also very funny to read when they went off topic and added some great humour.
maybe it is that, which is missed rather than us caregivers and widows that are the problem?
i believe there is room for all aspects of this disease to be covered, whatever the individuals reason for doing so.

Emma, I think I know who this is also.

Healing Well is not anti-male and never has been.  It so happens that the majority of members/posters are women and most of those women are caregivers.  Simple math.  We would love to have more men participating, especially patients.  If you do not want to read a certain member's posts, put them on ignore.  Don't get caught up in coversation with them.

And for someone who has left and doesn't want to continue to post, changing your member name is just sneaky...and also against the rules to have multiple user names.  Oh, right.  This is the only one.

With that said, I am locking this thread.  Not because I am anti-male or don't want them to express their opinions, but because of the potential negativity.  This forum needs to calm down and stay ontrack--remember the purpose, liver disease information and support.
