Hi Everyone,
The link Pink Grandma has posted is my website and the sweet angel that it talks the last couple weeks about is my wonderful niece. My blog is typically cancer related as I am a 4 year survivor (and doing well). But I have been posting about my niece to keep my family and friends up to date.

Let me update you all. My niece is doing well though it's a slow recovery process for her. The baby is still in ICU but that was expected. All in all things are going as planned.

I will forever be on my nieces coattails about living donors. She was bound and determined to help this child and she said that we totally lack donors out there and I get it. I have a friend that had Hep C and he underwent a liver transplant 5 years ago. But I didn't get a good view of how lucky he was to get a liver as the list is a long one. He told me the other day how courageous my niece is and I don't want to brag but I already knew that. She is a special young lady who is all heart.

I hope this story instills hope. I am totally unconcerned about cancer these days. I just want my niece to come home and get on with her life. She is supposed to come back from LA on the 12th. This has been a long journey for her but I know what she'll say ~ she'd do it again...

I will keep you in my prayers in hope that you can find the right donor really soon. I know my niece would do it again, but I would bet they have a limit to how many times you can do something like this.

I heard just a little while ago that my niece will be released from the hospital on Monday. She is making strides today. She is no longer connected to anything. They are just watching her blood panels. We are so happy with the news...
