Cirrhosis

My older borther (46) who lives my parents found out about a year ago that he has Chirosis of the liver hepatitus,diabities and list goes on, the doctor made him quit his job so now he is waiting to get Disability (which takes a year or two) My parents are on a fixed income my father can barely walk anymore and one day will not be able too, My mom takes care of my dad and now my brother. He does nothing to help around the house at all and they pay for all his medicines ( he lost his mediacal insurance when he could not work anymore)and car insurance plus give him $400.00 a month to live on.Well lately he has been running out of money by th 15Th or 20 th, I was not sure where all this money was going too, he said gas and eating out.The other day he came by my house like he does every Sunday , he went and got him a glass of water out of the kitchen we talked for a little bit then I went upstairs and when I came back down I saw him drinking out of the liquor bottle from the freezer ( my husband keeps one in there) I did not know what to do and I did not say anything to him, it broke my heart. I talked to my oldest brother and he said he would talk to him, well of course my brother denied it and said does not drink(he still does not know it was me who saw him) Here is my problem , my oldest brother tells me not to tell my mom because she is going through enough with him and my dad, but my thought is he is lying to them and spending their money on booze. I jst do not know what to do.The doctor told last year he would need a liver transplant within two years. The medicine he takes makes him semi functional, but I have noticed a change in him. I just do not know what to do.

It may be tough love but he's clearly abusing alcohol and that's why he is where he's at if he's hiding it...so you're gonna need to speak up.
