Something new, always! lol!! I have been having trouble getting Anna to take a bath, sometimes she will go as much as a month. She just doesnt care anymore, I dont guess. Well today, the main lady over Hospice came to meet us and see how everything was going. She noticed the odor that Anna had and asked about
her bathing, if I needed help. I told her that I can give her the baths, but she doesnt want them. Of course she wants me to talk her into it and to set up the aides coming. Which I think is a good idea. I guess it embarrassed Anna because she asked for a bath. When I went to wash under her belly she screamed out. So I raise her skin up and she has a very bad skin infection with a horrible smell. That is where the odor is coming from. Her breath also smells about
the same. I know that is from her liver, but wow. She is also having the liver flapping now too.
Back to the subject though, lol has any of you heard of this rash? I read online about
it and looked at photos and it seems to be what she has. Do you think I should call the hospice nurse and have her come out just to take a look. I am not sure if she needs a special ointment or not and all I have is barrier cream here.
Thanks,
Nat
