Hi All,

  My hubby with ESLD is a retired elephant handler, and I just wanted to let you all know about the documentary movie about the elephant he trained for 8 years, Flora. The documentary will be shown on the Oprah channel (OWN) tomorrow evening (Dec 1), 7:00 Mtn time, 8 Central and 9:00 Eastern.  Hubby shows up in the trailers for the movie, but we don't know if he is actually in the movie or not, as we have only seen bits and pieces.  He was Flora's handler for 8 years, but the story centers around her and her owner, David.

 

If moderators don't feel this info is appropriate for this forum, please feel free to remove it.  Can't help feeling proud of him,,,,even though some days the HE makes things difficult.

Angie, since it's your husband, it's fine. :-) Sure wish I could see it, but I don't get the Oprah channel. cry

I watched the show Angie, and it was actually a very heartfelt story!! What a beautiful animal she is, and so lucky to have a happy home in the end!!

thanks for letting us know about it . . I don't usually watch OWN

Yes, she is an incredible animal and so so intelligent. Glad you got to watch it. We are out here in the boonies and I had to work tonight so didn't see it. Can't wait to watch it. Guess it runs on OWN all of Dec. Hubby is reluctant to see it. I think it brings back to many emotions of parting with her.

Connie...thanks for leaving my post on about the documentary.  I don't get OWN either. cry
