Talked to TC. Docs will check out hernia at Mike's next appointment.
They will also check out a partial obstruction they found in one of his bile ducts. The oncologist found it on Mike's MRI and wanted us to know he and the hepatologiest are keeping a close eye on on that (as Mike popped an small HCC before transplant.) The are very aggressive about keeping track of things at our center. Of course, this gives us a stomach ache to think "something" could be going on. But our attitude is that watchful waiting is fine. When we have something to worry about, we'll start the worrying. (I hope I can keep that positive spin on it.)
Next ordeal = liver biopsy at one year. Mike had no problem last time so he isn't nervous. I've read a lot here. I'm not going to tell him worrisome things I think. He remembers it was not a big deal for him...so...
Yesterday was his one year anniversary. We had a "surprise birthday party" for his liver last evening. 20 of our Florida friends came by for coffee and cake. We had a nice time. He was totally surprised until the door bell started ringing off the hook. He had changed clothes after dinner into sleeping sweats and his fluffy slippers and I couldnt bring myself to TELL him before the surprise. It sort of felt like old times, when we gave parties and had fun. We hadn't had a group at our house like that in almost 3 years.
I couldn't get anything ready, cause it was a surprise, so I got stuff and put it at the neighbors, so they brought the party supplies when they came...He He.
Now on to year 2. I still can't believe it sometimes.
