Give me advice. Could this be viral chronic hepatitis. If so how to face it?

I'm 34 years old male, i don't do drugs, I don't smoke, I don't drink

6 months from now I have had palpitations, tachycardia, visible pulses on my wrist, ankles. I go to a cardiologist, he said nothing is wrong with my heart, thyroid test normal, normal EKG, normal echocardiogram. I've lost 7 pounds, but i think it's because i'm just eating once a day, i don't feel hungry

My mind was not settled, so I take more random test 2 times at different laboratories, and came out the same:
Total bilirubin 1.9 mg/dL
Direct bilirubin 0.4 mg/dL
Indirect bilirubin 1.5 mg/dL
Alanine transaminase 25 u/L
Aspartate transaminase 22 u/L
Alkaline phosphatase 93 u/L
Albumin 4.7 g/dL
Gamma glutamyl transpeptidase 32 u/L
Lactate dehydrogenase 382 u/L
Direct Coombs test‎ negative

Hb 16.9 g/dL
Leucocyte 4,990 mm3

Urine
pH 7.0
Bilirubin negative
Proteins negative
Urobilinogen negative

Now I feel itchy all over, I don't know if this has something to do with bilirubin, I have history of GERD, and Erosive gastritis. I take hepatitis A B C test today, and don't have results yet. I'm feeling really anxious and I can't calm down. I have this questions.

1. Is it possible viral chronic hepatitis is causing palpitations, tachycardia, and visible pulsations? How common is this?
2. I have had 3 girlfriends during my life. I don't know how i get infected. How to tell my ex girlfriends that I have hepatitis? Some advice? One of them as far as i know is married and pregnant with her first son. I feel so sad, but I have to tell her, even if i ruin her marriage, I read is possible to avoid her son is born with hepatitis

I'm going crazy, I awake several times at night thinking of this situation just thinking of the day I get the results of the hepatitis blood test. What will I do?

Aspartate transaminase 22 u/L. These are very normal for a person without Hepatitis. Have you seen a hepatologist or a gastroenterologist? Your AST and ALT would be much higher if you had hepatitis B or C. Not sure about A. Your symptoms could be a number of things. Did you ask your cardiologist these questions or have you been prescribed new medication? I hope you do not have Hepatitis. Wish i didn't! I am pretty sure your test will come back negative, so try to take it easy.

Ronin, welcome to the forum. Your labs are not really abnormal. Cardiac symptoms are not the result of hepatitis. It could just be anxiety.

Try not to think too far ahead. Wait for the results. Did they tell you when results would be available?

Meanwhile, even if you don't feel hungry, make yourself eat anyway. You need the nutrients whatever the situation. If you are unable to eat sold food, try Carnation Breakfast Essentials (Instant Breakfast.) This was recommended to me by my transplant team and I find it works for me.

Come back and let us know your results when you have them. Meanwhile, don't let your imagination run away with you.

Ronin, good luck on your test. I do have Hep C and it is a emotional  high and low constantly. I can't help you on the health issue. I learn more everyday. You asked if you should tell your ex-girlfriend. Let's not put the horse before the carriage. I hope you are neg. If you are it is up to you if you want to tell anyone. In my case I have only confided in my family, Doctor's and this website. Now with that being said, if you put  or they put themselves in a situation to contract. I believe the right thing to do is to let them know and that they should smilewinkgrin et tested. GoodLuck

Connie you sound like my step mom. She was a middle school language arts teacher. I could not finish a sentence without being corrected. Funny thing is I do the same thing to my son.

Any news back on this issue?

I have noted similar symptoms:
Exactly the same bilirubin results.
Plus non-specific anemia hitting all red blood cell counts and hemoglobin.
Itching at night, which can be an artifact of bilirubin leech into skin.

Yet I'm beginning to wonder if this may not be something genetic as I recently discovered my father suffered from similar anemia and may still.

Anemia is not iron related.

Iamstrained, welcome to the forum. I don't know whatever happened to Ronin as we've never heard anything more from him. Have you been tested for hep C and B? If not, that would be your first step. Until then, it's all a guessing game. The first and usually most prominent sign of viral hepatitis is fatigue. This is not tiredness from working hard or exercising, etc. It is a body weary feeling that no amount of sleep will make a difference.

I hope you will get tested and come back here with results.
