im sure the treatments can bring on alot of things,,,,it really messes with your body chemestry so id say diabetes could have been brought on by them, but its important to finish the treatments until the dr says to stop,so your hubby doesnt have to deal with cirrhosis later and other hep related problems. my brother was a diabetic at age 4,,,lived with it his whole life. how old is your hubby? my brother was healthy for many years due to my mom and dad helpin him stay on a very regimented diet...so diabetes can be treated for a long time. unfortunately my brother after movin out on his own, became lax in his diet and his checkups and developed diabetic myopia??(spelling???) and 2 weeks after that his kidneys failed and he was put on dialasis for 2 yrs, before finally recieving a kidney/pancreas transplant,,,,hes no longer a diabetic now:) of course he will be on anti rejection meds for the rest of his life,,and will remain blind, but can eat like a normal person for the first time since he was a lil boy..and hes adapted well to the blindness, and even has a blind girlfriend ,,they live together and manage to take care of their home with very lil help from others...i didnt mean to go into a long winded story,,just the words kept rollin out,,,the point is,he had it a long long time before developin these problems, and it was somewhat self induced by not doin what he should ve done,,,dont panic, this also may be diabetic like,,,,,,the gestational diabetic that comes on durin pregnancy ,then goes away when the pregnancy is over:) good luck
