Lisa, if he is a veteran, they have counseling and medical available there! he does not have to be injured in war, just needy!

UPDATE: I buried my dear husband yesterday. He drank himself to death. Im so totally lost, heartbroken, angry, etc...

Lisa, I am sorry to hear of your loss.

Though I guess it is not unexpected.  So sad.

There is a widows thread....lots of help there.

Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear this. What an unnecessary death. Do avail yourself of the Loss thread. You will have a lot of company there, with good support.

Lisa so sorry for your loss. It will be three years on the 21st since Mike died. It'll take some time to put it all in order. Deep breaths. It's pretty overwhelming at first. I almost felt like I was having out of body experiences. I would just drift away in thoughts. Hard to explain. The emotions are so tough. I will be thinking of you and praying. Sandia

Lisa, I am so sorry to read about your loss. I lost my brother March 3, just last month. He died of Liver Failure. He had Endstage Cirrhosis and Hep C. He finally let me help him through instructions from Hospice.

I am still in shock but awaiting Hospice Grief classes in May. I could use them now but I have much support with Family, Friends and many others to get me through. My heart goes out to you.

So sorry to read about the death of your husband. I lost mine to ESLD/Hep C two & 1/2 months ago. The emotions are overwhelming somedays. You are not alone.

Breath deep and don't look back with regrets...Take it one minute, one hour and one day at a time. That little phrase has helped me a lot. Whenever I think I should be making big plans..one minute one hour one day...for awhile (common wisedom says a year).

Will light a candle tonight for you. (((hugs)))
