Liver Biopsy

Syxx, thanks for starting a new thread. I'm pleased to hear that your biopsy went well. Thanks for sharing that. I think liver biopsies have come a long way from the way they used to be done. In '93, after my first biopsy, I had horrible pain. The last 2 biopsies I've had went very well with virtually no pain. Prior to those, I had another biopsy when I was under anesthesia for excision of my right liver lobe. So obviously, I didn't experience pain. In fact, I didn't know it had been done until I read the operative report.

Please let us know your results when you get them.

They said like 4 days to get results, I am hoping they call or send the results letter to me via me nextmd mail account. i would prefer not to get hit with anything in a visit at the doctors office. I will probably call on Friday.

They are pretty sure that it will confirm NASH though. Not sure what the steps will be then, most likely go to the University of Minnesota to meet the transplant coordinator there.

I have to figure out how much more weight they would wnat me to lose, I have lost 40lbs, hit a wall lately. I changed a few things up, but they told me not activity except a little walking for 2 days.
