I dont know if i am doing this correct or not . But i have been having serious memory lapses and i live alone , im on disabilty what should I do im 64 and for the first time im starting to get scared about the possible coma situations . can anyone give me any suggestions thanks tony

Where are you? You said you moved from New Orleans. Are you a veteran? If so, you could get medical help from them. If not, you need to find a free clinic, or some sort of medical help, preferably a hepatologist, or a gastroenterologist. They're specialists in liver diseases. Tell us as much about your medical issues so we can try and help you.

thank you David for replying to me . At the moment im very fatigued and confused when i get a break i will write down some history of whats going on and the doctors that i do have to give you more info about me . But thats what I am talking about I am struggling to reply to you but tomorrow morning i may have a window of opportunity to explain more . I am not a vet . I have few family members left and no one to really look out for me as i feel my condition is progressing now more rapidly than before . Im used to chronic fatigue but what im experincing now is much worse but i will post again more likely tomorrow and one thing is im gonna have to learn how to work this site as im not that computer smart but my friend thank you so much for your reply and I will put together a little history then post it for you and others . Tony, welcome to the forum. I'm going to delete your other thread. When you have questions or want to post about anything, do it in this thread (Subject) that you posted.

I contracted hep C in the late 60s. It progressed to liver cancer and then transplant I am more tired than ever...little energy and weak. I lost a lot of muscle mass after transplant. The plan is to have me start the new treatment in Feb. I'm in my 60s and also alone.

Have you ever been on hep C treatment? Have you been evaluated for transplant? Are you being seen regularly by a hepatologist? If you're on federal disability you should have either Medicare or Medicaid.

Tell us more. You also should check out the folder at the top of the page entitled Hepatitis Resources. There's a lot of good info in there.
