Anyone else get a buttload of snow. We got like 10inches, talk about a pain the butt to shovel. Still snowing as of 1145am.

Hope you don't get snowed in! No snow here in FL. I hope you are prepared to hunker down for awhile. Those who need to get to the doctor or have Rxs filled might have a problem.

Yeah, I only take BP pills so i had plenty. i had no pain pills, so back is sore. Otherwise i took daughter out for 45min and let her slide down the pile of snow I made.

SyXx, I can't help but to chime in here. We got 1/4 of an inch of snow night before. Luckily it was warming up by 5:am and melting. No need to call off school.

2 inches here causes chaos. Funny really. I live just outside city limits about 30 miles north of Nashville. But there are some twisting, turning back roads the buses can't travel so just the scare of bad roads closes schools.

They have only had 2 days off this year due to weather. One of those days due to tornadoe damages blocking side roads. My nephew loves the school closings. No make up work for that day off.

I have in-laws in upstate N.Y. I give them a hard time when they're complaining about their snow issues. It makes for a good laugh.

It is suppose to be sunny and in the 60's this weekend. It was just sunny and in the 60's last weekend. Good weather when my brother was home. That was a plus.

It was -7 last night lol, and we still have 15 inches of snow on the ground.

I would fear for many folks here if we were to have that much snow. We live on a road that would be much fun sledding down and around!!

I lived in NY and CT most of my adult life.  Brrrr and Brrrr.

As I grow older I am happy to put up with crowded road as opposed to the cold, snow, ice etc of a bad New England Winter.

We love the Sunshine State...most of the time.

Raining like crazy since last night, with winds in the 40s and gusts over 60. No planes or boats running. This happens a couple of times every winter, though this year we have had 4 such episodes. Living on an island 30 miles off the coast, this isn't unexpected. It's not supposed to let up until Sunday.

I always chuckle at your name, my nieces called my own Mom "GramaLama" :)

I arrived here in Mass just in time for cold yucky windy snow. Got off the auto train yesterday
in VA, no probs until I hit CT(light snow) and then RI (manageable snow) and finally MA (down to driving-30-mph-on-I-95-and-495-snow). I actually slid off the road. My brakes made this clicking noise when I stepped on them, then I just skidded right across the intersection. Luckily it was near sister's home where light traffic.


What was I thinking?

Hopefully you had 4 wheel drive, but that is only really good if there is alot of snow.

No 4 wheel drive, Syxx, actually just came down a hill sideways so the next hill i just rode the snowbanks to slow me down!

Scary stuff to drive in .

Just 2 days ago I was in FL with sun and green grass LOL

I was in Texas at beginning of Feb. It was Sunny and around 90 when I was there. Nice coastal breeze to, I miss it just a little.

Mae, you should've waited another 2 weeks to return home...or were you and hubby sick of each other?

We've had some very cold weather here in N.E. FL--down to 28 one night. Highs in the 50s with 18 mph winds and gusts up to 50. Sunny and cold now. All cities in FL are not the same as far as weather goes. And Jax is more like GA.

28??? It was -7 2 nights ago!!! It was supposed to be like 25, so I turned the heat from 70 down to 65, woke up freezing my butt off. Look at my temp gauge, then check my phone, yep -7.

Yes I wish i stayed, but was anxious to see my kids. Went on the auto-train and it was nice and roomy because so many folks canceled due to northern weather (silly people).

No, hubby never gets sick of me because he doesn't see me often enough. Remember I left him in October to await transplant in Jax, so he kinda liked having me back. I felt guilty leaving, almost turned around on Alligator Alley on my way to Sanford station (trouble is, it was 40 miles to the first exit).

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, or is out "out of sight, out of mind" ?
