just can't get a break !

 Robin , I'm sorry this crap keeps piling up on you guys. I do know that nodule's can come and go. They have been observing 1 for awhile now on my liver, Actually it was two for about 2 years but the other has gone away completely. It's better to know theses things and combat them as time progresses instead of finding out when it's too far gone. Just get it over with , Kinda like pulling splinter out of your finger.

 I see my mom and dad who are well into there 70's going back and forth to the doctors weekly. Odd thing is my father never bothered going to a doc for anything when we where kids, in fact he acted as surgeon around the house . Stitches, No problem, He'd break out his trusty first aid kit and sew you up on the spot. Bone broke, No problem, " Can you wiggle that or this ", "Ain't no broke bone , shake it off " To hell with a fancy machine taking expensive pictures. Not so now, Since he had a triple bypass about 15 years ago. They get a little gas and something doesn't smell right it's off to the doctors now. I scarcely think they would be as well as they are if they didn't get those regular visits.

 Robin you got a lot to be thankful for and life is gonna have these downward slopes, Hopefully you'll hit a incline that'll take you straight to the moon pretty soon and all this trouble will be behind you .

What were the meds that you think messed up your liver?

I have diverticulitis...which I think means that the pockets are there just waiting to get infected. And if they fill up and don't clean themselves out, you get an attack of diverticulosis. Sort of like everyone has tonsils, but you are only sick if they are infected.

Maybe I have the words backwards....maybe Connie knows the right words.

On the cysts, etc. I think one of the problems is that they take these MRI's and CT scans, etc and they find out a lot of stuff. I had a abdominal MRI for some stuff and they found a crap load of things...I have cysts in kidneys, pancreas, liver, spleen, and in my spinal fluid (that one has a crazy name). My doc says not to get all excited. We all have lumps and bumps on the outside also and we only worry if they are skin cancers. He told me to think of them like a skin tag or harmless mole. The spinal fluid one makes me the most worried though (the word is something like shrync). The doc tells me the one in my pancreas is the one to watch. So they'll take more pictures in the fall. Sometimes I think they take the pictures as it doesn't take much of their time and Medicare is happy to pay for them...too cynical?

I think I'm likely fine. And hope that your belly feels better. and that the liver thing settles with new meds and diet.

And that things get back to some kind of new normal at your house.

I wish I was only a few lbs over weight.

It's all very confusing. If you have diverticulosis ,they are pockets in the colon. When these pockets trap "poop" and get infected, that's when you get diverticulitis.

I have always had to take a combo of 2 antibiotics for it, Flagyl and Cipro. This time I also got 2 UTIs,and because the antibiotics also kill the good bacteria it can also cause more infections.

I have the poops non stop,they are checking me for C-diff as this can be caused from the antibiotics!

And its not so much the antibiotics, it's that I have been on the same ones for 4 months now on and off.

If I knew you all personally could I tell you some stories about my hospital visit,wasn't funny then,but it is now,but I don't want to offend anyone :)

And Ziff,as I tell my kids and Mark,,I got this ! I may be down for awhile,but nothing can keep me down for long !
