Perfect bloodwork, still having pain

Hello everyone. I have posted a few times about my journey with Hep C, with which I was infected in the summer. My liver enzymes shot up to 2000 and I got very ill and jaundice eyes. Got bloodwork, found hep c antibodies. However, soon after this I spontaneously got better. My enzymes dropped from 2000-30 and since then have gotten regular bloodwork and they have stayed there. My specialst just recently got a plethora of tests, and they all came back normal. I had an acute infection and fought it off. Achieved srv. What is strange is I still get pain from time to time and sometimes it's pretty bad. It feels similar to what I felt at the time of infection. Are these the ripple effects of such a huge blow to my liver? Can this have to do with regrowth? Should I be worried? Going to talk to my doctor, but advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Do you have a viral load and if so, what is it?

No I don't have one. Out of curiosity why do you ask? Can someone have everything normal but a viral load?

Should mention I am at this moment having pain in my right under my rib cage more towards back. Deep. Feels like it would be bottom of liver facing back aand that's the only spot the hurts right now. Earlier it was to the right of my belly buttom, but not high at all just that lower region. Think that was something else but still, weird

Liz, I would go to a hepatologist and see what is going on, they'll run the blood work and all that.

One thing I always try to remember to do with myself and anyone I'm accompanying to the doctor, is to call a week ahead and ask that they put the lab requisition in so that the results are there by the time of the appointment. This saves a lot of waiting and allows you to ask questions face to face, instead of going over the results on the phone (which doctors seldom do, passing it off to nurses).

I asked because you can have Hep C, and feel fine. Having a viral load, no matter how low would indicate that you hadn't gotten rid of the virus.

sounds like you cleared the virus spontaneously. you still need a pcr rna run to confirm. great news!!! happy thanksgiving

btw, i cleareed the virus a year ago, and i still get pain in the RUQ.

The weird thing is I just got bloodwork done a week a go and all the tests are normal

So even with the virus cleared it is still possible to have pain? Is this because of everything the liver has been through during infection? Also, what is RUQ? Thanks everyone for the replies so far.

RUQ is right upper quadrant. your reply to prior poster was "no, i dont have a viral load". well then, YOUR CLEAR.
