Around how long for Trillium in Ontario Canada to...HEP C Drug approval

Ive had Hep C since I was 22. Im 54 now. SOVALDI came out in December for treatment but its so so expensive. I have used Trillium before for Interferon/Ribavarin in 2007 and would hope I could use it again this year so I could take Sovaldi/Sofosbuvir. Does anyone have any idea at all how long it will likely take for Trillium to decide if they will or will not help me to buy Sovaldi ?

I can't help you there, there may be some hurdles from your health care system in Canada. I wish I could help, at least you get a bump out of it :)

If it were me though, I would call the company, and don't stop until you get an answer. Don't give up and if they say no, wait a week and apply again.

Apple are you aware of the Gilead Momentum program? if not please give them a call at 1-855-447-7977

The caseworkers are very busy now but I spoke with them today and they have many options for assistance they told me so please call them and ask if they can help you.

If Trillium is a insurance provider let Gilead know as they called my provider was I was on the phone asking about coverage, I am from Canada also and can assure you Canadian's are getting the drugs and a few providers are covering it and the more that do I suspect others will follow or risk losing people on their plans.

Welcome to the forum. We'd be so interested to hear how your search for treatment options go. So many are waiting for help. Mike has been Hep C infected since the late 1960s...those were the good old days??? Maybe not so much! He needed a transplant but the Hep C has returned. He is Stage 4 fibrosis and symptomatic again, though his MELD score is only 10.
