Hi Music...you are doing great with new treatment. You seem to have a good support system in place medically. Sorry about the mouth sores. You keep doing what you're doing. And you know someone here is usually around if you need to run your thoughts around during those times of up and down moods ; )

Hi Music- just had been following your responses on another thread- I completed sovalda and riba 12 week meds for type 2a 2 weeks ago. I avoided the long-term rash and sores, but have had itching and burning on legs that is taking time to pass with variety of creams and benadryl to sleep at night. Biggest side effect the last month has been symptoms related to anemia, that Doc says in "not a problem- it will pass." The inability to do simple chores and being grounded has challenged me (vertigo and dizziness) and my depression and I HATE EVERYONE! syndrome makes it hard to ask for help. I am a counselor, so you know what they say about helpers seeking help....Be sure to allow time after meds done to come back to half speed slowly and hope it passes soon for you!

Hi healingarts, I just wanted to mention the I HATE EVERYONE thing, and depression. You treated with Riba, and Riba Rage lasted in my husband about 5 months after treatment. Themister was on an anti-depressant during treatment, but thought he did not need it when completed. Well, what a mistake!! The rash and rage both hung on for 4-5 months.

Since you are new, feel free to start a new thread and tell us a bit about yourself. A nice bunch of people hang out here. Congrats on finishing treatment! Big Hugs

I started Sovaldi 400 mg in combination with Olsio 150mg a little over three weeks ago to treat my Hep C, Genotype 1b. This is my first attempt to treat my Hep C which has been diagnosed for over 20 years. I never thought intereferon/ribavirin was worth the try. I have had slight headaches, some aches and some intestinal discomfort by way of loose stools. I am sensitive to sun light. It feels like it it burning me as soon as I get in direct sunlight. My lower lip felt sunburned after being in the sun and became swolen and blistered. It felt like it did when I treated it with an imuno modulator for some pre cancerous lesions. I have also developed a rash or multiple lesions which act/look like acitinic keratiosis [crust or blister, scab, slow to heal] I am wondering if anyone else is treating with both Sovaldi and Olysio. Are these common symptoms [Yes, I know that Sovaldi can make one photo sensitive and cause a rash] And, is there something that can be done for the rash/lesions? Triacinolone Acetonide Cream USP 0.025%. l Finally, I note other folks have periodic blood work. My doc said take it for 12 weeks and come back. Should I be concerned about getting blood work? Are these symptoms something I just need to live with?

Hi all, first day of week 17 of 24. Hyper,and accept for occasional bouts with anxiety, feels so good to have some extra energy...been way too long and I want it to last. Should see lab results on line Mon. Good counseling today. Sides of treatment during these last few days are short of breath when do too much . I continue to have problems sleeping with rls and day,night reversed sleep patterns, which has become the norm since diagnosed with HE. Will post when get lab results.

Emotional mess...anxiety up...overwhelmed trying to remember all things Dr needs and etc..daughter usually helps me but really busy..cld use prayers..tkd

Ok, counselor has helped me get back on track and happy that this 1a is still ud without peg interferon.6 1/2 weeks to go. No real treatment sides..dr thinks hemoglobin has stabilized at 9.9 after reduction of ribavirin. Next hepatologist visit 6/17. Rls and anxiety on going and intermittent mood swings ...? HE. Hang in there everyone.

music, have been worried about you since the treatment, while less horrible than earlier regimens, still causes anxiety in some patients. And then we didn't hear from you for a few days. Glad you are on top of things again AND undetectable. Keep your eye on the prize! Hugs, Mama Lama
