Dear Jen, We filled out the form the the scooter, they should be calling soon.

Julie,  I have misplaced your phone #.  Please call me.  Larry was so overcome with appreciation for your offer that he couldn't talk to a while.  I would like to make arrangements to get the items you have so gratiously offered.

I think if your doctor writes a prescription and notes that it is medically necessary for ambulation both indoors and outdoors, perhaps insurance will cover the scooter.  I know my aunt's insurance wouldn't pay because she said she didn't need it indoors as well as out...so she paid for it herself.   nono

I appreciate your prayers.  I can tell you that bone pain is agonizing, so I feel for your brother.  I still have pain, but it's nothing like it was prior to hip replacements.  I understand them not wanting to do replacement until after liver transplant.  He needs to be healthy and get his strength back.  All my best to him.  He is really lucky to have such a caring sister.

Thank you we will try that. I hope it works. We applied on line to the scoter store but have not heard back yet.
Yes, he is in a great deal of pain. I don't know how he stands it. He still hobbles up and takes a shower everyday and works on rebuilding computers.
He tries to do as much as he can, he feels bad becasue he is unable to takecare of himself in alot of ways. He is a true inspiration.
You truly know how it feels I will continue to pray for you, as you are very inspringing your self.

They called on Friday late and left a message. We will call them back today.
Larry is in extreme pain. He just sits on his bed and moans or cries. I have a call into the VA again. Please pray that there is something they can do for him.

Hi Jen,  They are working on it.  We are doing okay.  We have a wheelchair and are trying to set up my house to accomodate.

Paula, how are things going with Larry?  I was just rereading your posts.  It really sounds as though he could use some stronger pain meds.  Have you talked to his doctor about this?  He should not have to suffer so much, although the pain does get so bad that it is hard to control.  Here is an AVN/ON link that you will find helpful:
