Hi everyone,
I pass another milestone today. This morning I had my weekly clinic check up. My doctors said I don't need to check my blood sugar level anymore, they stopped 1of my medicines. All staples are out.
But the best news was hepatitis C is undetected. It was 36 after the transplant. They will keep me on Sovaldi and Ribavirin for the full 26 weeks. I think I'm on week 10, I lost track with the transplant in the middle. My only real problem was the weight loss, vomiting that lasted for about a week. I'm trying to get the weight back, and take meds to prevent me from vomiting, when I eat or take my other medicine at 10am and 10pm.
Now I go to the clinic once every two weeks. And my labs are once a week at the local hospital, with the results fax to Piedmont hospital. I am still walking slow and Maggie won't let me lift anything, but that is what the nurses tell her. And believe me she will throw me under the bus, if I don't listen to her. One of my nurses ask me if I was in trouble today, like last week. I look at her and laugh and said I hope not, but we'll find out when the doctor comes in. But everything went fine. Just a quick update.
Take care Ron and Maggie
