Hi guys, today is the first day of week 24...whew...every day now is at least a week long...
Counseling today...getting harder and more intense..and prayer accepted for my counselor..lol. Anxiety still abounds..hoping when riba and I are parted for awhile it will decrease, alot! No labs ordered so far. Next hepatologist visit end of this mo. Cautiously hopeful .... So good so far😊

Friday is my last day of treatment...24 weeks...not too bad since I had your support here. Dr ofc advised labs Mon. Cbc, cmp and hcvpcr.. Sleeping more than usual and lactulose bloating is an all time continuing additive, but thankful for what the Dr says it does. Counseling continues. Posting after lab results sometime next week.

You deserve a drum roll, 101 gun salute, medal for bravery and thousands of hugs. I so admire and respect you for making the 24 wks, as I said before, when I thought I had 24 wks I wasn't sure I could tolerate it. You are a terrific role model for anyone, bless you many times over.

Wow! I'm sending you a HUGE and happy congratulations!! You've got this. I believe my first day of the same 24 week sovaldi and ribavirin treatment begins on Friday. Thanks for leading the way!!

You all are so terrific, but you give me too much credit. Anyone can do this treatment..it is amazing and causes a few issues that my Dr, this forum, my nurse case mgr, and the last two mo. My counselor along with friends and family were able to keep me motivated..just long. But...just took the LAST treatment meds..labs Mon and will post results sometime next week. So thankful for the chance to take this med..if you have to fight to get it, do so! Posting again sometime next week!

Music WAY TO GO!!! I'm so happy for you! I'm taking over for you- day one here of 24 weeks and I know I can do this. I really appreciate all your posts- your struggles as well as your ability to hang in there. Keep us posted. I'll be watching.

Hi guys, just had enough labs drawn for a full donation...lol. Testing cmp, cbc, hvc pcr. Afp ?, pt inr.plus. Should have all results by Fri. Do not know if he retests in 3 mo or ? Excited to see all the new treatment threads. Will posts results. Ready for riba to start dwindling down in my system! Lost 22 pounds last 3 mo of treatment..that was a big perk 😊

Can't wait to see those results Music! I'm crossing my fingers that they are fabulous. I hope that the riba is seeping out of you quickly and that if you want to keep the weight off it stays off!

Wanted to post earlier but have had some severe confusion issues. Which went to some weird thoughts and dangerous depression
.. beg to get back on track. Dr had said could slow down on lactulose and use other strong lax and instead one of my friends who noticed things weren't right, found I was not taking it at all...ok..now some positive news.
UD end of treatment...will test again twice..3 mo out and 6 mo out. Blessed by meds, drs, and you all and esp my friend who helped me start to correct a problem.

Allen, if you check in, aren't you testing again soon? Pls let us know how you are. Steve, do you test again? Sorry, but "unique" current memory going on here. Lol May all you guys fighting the fight along with caregivers and support members enjoy a successful and peaceful week..take time to be grateful for each breath, enjoy nature, and continue to take time to turn your thoughts away from self and share a moment to help someone else feel loved and cared for....hummm....thinking about it, this us what the members of this forum already do! stay the course 😊

Hey music, hope things are getting a little better for you.
Between working and being out of town most of this week, it's been pretty busy over here.
And for some reason I don't get emails about new posts sometimes, so I missed your most recent ones.
Anyway, I will test for SVR12 on Tuesday and will update my thread with the results.

Hey Steve, looking forward to your test results.
! Saw hept and treatment ended ud. Now Oct 24 will do first retest, then again three more mo after that. Counseling is kicking me...working through..or trying not to work though (lol) heavy issues is tougher than I ever imagined..and hept says he requires me to continue...so...so much for my happy life of denial.😞. few med issues but none related to treatment. Tks for your comments. Stay in touch. Everyone, best to you all and may you get healthier every day!!

I posted on my thread, but the short version is Undetected 12 weeks later :) my doctor wasn't interested in testing again, but I might inquire about that again. Very few are detected after 24 weeks who weren't after 12, but it does happen.
Separately, it does seem you've been putting in some work and you really deserve everything good that's coming your way.

Steve, so happy for your ud. Feel it is svr!!! I do think like you though, since this is all so new, for piece of mind, I would consider the retest you mentioned..but feel you are already knowing that nasty virus has "left the building." tks for the comments..means alot. Ooooh, counseling am. Lol. Will check your thread, too. 😊.🎶

I'm back music and glad to hear you're doing well, I've updated my thread after getting a phone call about 20 minutes ago telling me I am now UNDETECTED!

It worked! Such a wonderful feeling and so happy, last year I feared for my life and tonight I will remember forever.


I stayed away after my test I had at the end of treatment when they said "detected, less than 12"...that scared the crap out of me and I didn't want to dwell on that so I enjoyed my summer and went on a vacation and didn't even think about it and today out of the blue I got the phone call after giving my blood last week.

What can I say, Sovaldi really is a fricken miracle drug!! My only hope is they will make this cheaper for everybody, we all deserve the cure...we're all human.

Allen, wow!!! That is the greatest news ever!!! So great to hear from you...steve checked in the other day. celebrating with you...whew, just can't believe where we all were last year, then the approval of sovaldi and lives are changed!!! This forum needs your support too. Lots of new people could use your wisdom. Dont stay away!!!
