Hi Heidi, Welcome to the Hep forum.
Actually, yes, I have heard of this. Here is a link for you.
www.cpmc.org/advanced/liver/patients/topics/noncancerous-lesions-profile.htmlMy husband has a couple of cysts in his liver that are monitored, as well as a couple on his pancreas. When my guy was treating Hep C, he developed a new cyst on his neck (under the skin, about
the size of a small egg). It was benign, as are all of his cyst's in organs at this time. But Mayo, his transplant center, does monitor them as he is high risk for liver cancer.
The doctor needs to find out what is going on with yours, and rule out cancer, of course. Your original complaint... pain by belly button, may be totally unrelated...something like IBS. I am very glad to hear you are being checked out and treated. Know that we have all walked some pretty dark and scary roads. We are here for you. Big Hugs
