AIH- felt a tear

Hi...Was diagnosed July 15, 2015 with AIH and F3 liver fibrosis. Have been started on Entocort 9mg per day. So far no side effects. Possibility of Azathioprine and Ursodiol being added depending on a second opinion on my liver biopsy.
Feeling very overwhelmed and quite not understanding what the f3 liver fibrosis is.
Out for a walk with my little dog and felt a tear in the upper right side centered under ribs. Has anyone had this happen? I feel tired most of the time.
I also have little veins appearing on my face and shoulders. Is this normal?
Would being on Crestor for 10 yrs cause this AIH as I have read Lipitor does?

The F3 is a fibrosis stage. I was never given mine only told I had severe damage with no cirrhosis. Cirrhosis is liver scarring and happens after stage 4. Fibrosis is completely reversible so don't stress about your number. I do believe I read that views on cirrhosis irreversibility are changing as well.

You've started Entocort and that's great! My hepatologist said they were moving to start new AIHers on that over ores...less side effects!!

Starting Imuran (azathioprine) is probably a good idea. Some docs check for tolerance to it. Never had the test either, we just tried it. The test is TPMT and you can ask about it but they may just try it.

So the "tear" you felt...was it a sharp stabbing pain? I get it. Not as often as I used to. Docs could never find anything with ultrasound or HIDA scan of gallbladder. A lot of AIHers have RUQ (right upper quadrant) pain. Let your doc know about it. Also, I find when I go to the dark side and have deep fried foods, it bothers me more so it's likely gallbladder related.

I know it's tough when newly diagnosed to not stress about the whole thing...but try. Stress won't help you. When questions come up, write them down and ask here and/or your doc.

Are you taking multivitamins and calcium? Have you stopped drinking any amount of alcohol?

Thank you for the info.
When the tear happened, i did have a little discomfort. July 25 i had another ultrasound and doppler.
The test TPMT, blood test was taken july 15. Understanding this test is for tolerance to the new meds that might be introduced.
Not taking any vitamins or calcium. Should I be?
I dont see hepatologist till Oct 21.
Hurry up and wait. Its been a long year and a half.

I will be asking the hepatologist re: calcium, vitamins and a bone density test. I didnt know that the med effects the bone.
I learned a lot in such a short time.
