Update

It's been a while since I stopped by to update everyone. You all provided so much support while Mike was on his final journey. My daughter has finished school and is working in the healthcare field. I finished my addiction counseling certification. I'm working as a forensic psychologist serving youth offenders. I am two classes shy of my All But Dissertation status... ABD on my PhD journey. Then a comprehensive exam... write my thesis..

I plan to teach online.. and counsel online.. which is a new medium for counseling.

I used the lessons learned on my walk with Mike often with my kids and with people that God brings to me.

Hi Sandia...great to hear your "voice."

Online...what a great venue. I have LOVED my work with HW and find that when folks start to change, to "get it" that their whole lives can change. We have seen folks here move from under water to taking charge of their lives and doing well.

I am ABD myself...since 1976...and sorry I wandered off after the qualifiying exams...though that was the year I had my second child in 17 months and realized I was headed for divorce court...so I forgave myself, quit school, shut up and rethought a few things. Now, many years later I wish I had just gone back when the dust settled.

Keep on track is my advice. Your time is NOW.

Arneeb, thank you for the update.

Congrats on plugging away on the abd/phd. Like MamaLama, I missed finishing my second masters by a hair, because things got to crazy in life - liver disease, divorce, etc. I should have gone right back and finished, but looking back upon it, the HE was probably having more of an impact on my life than I knew. So in any event, it sits unfinished.

The point is, however, that you and your daughter sound like you are doing very well, and I am so happy to see that.
