Prioritization for treatment of HCV
1.Treatment should be prioritized
-Patients with significant fibrosis (F3) or Cirrhosis (F4)
-Patients with HIV coinfection
-Patients with HBV coinfection
-Patients with an indication for liver transplantation
-Patients with HCV recurrence after liver transplantation
-Patients with debilitation fatigue
2.Treatment is justified
-Patients with moderate fibrosis (F2)
-Individuals at risk of transmitting HCV (Woman of child-bearingage who wish to get pregnant.
3.Treatment can be deferred :
-Patients with no or mild disease (F0-F1) and none of the above-mentioned extra-hepatic manifestations

Welcome to the hep forum, Jerry. We are a support group of those with all sorts of liver disease, and those who love them. My husband has the sick liver in our house.

Themister was Hep C GT3a. He treated twice with interferon/riba before the new treatments were available. Luckily, he was cured of Hep C several years ago but the damage was done. He has been very ill for several years now and is waiting for a transplant.

We would love to know more about you and your journey with liver disease. And if you could, please post the source of the treatment guidelines for you. Again, Welcome! Big Hugs

Thank you so much "themiz" I will do my best to give the useful information for this forum.

My cousin was pass away ,Because of HCV. So,This tragedy inspire me to work as medical facilitator that focusing on HCV.
