Help with hepatitis medication?

harvoni is well tolerated. put harvoni in the search box on the blue bar above and you can read the treatment threads of several who have had great luck.

there seem to be few side effects, maybe some headaches, but drinking lots of water seems to help. I can't remember about harvoni and anxiety, but some on various new treatments have struggled with additional anxiety or deoression. talk specifically with your treatment doc and whoever writes your psych meds.

the one good thing is that most on treatment are undetected in a matter of weeks...sooo, they start to feel better, less tired, etc. unless your liver us
is cirrotic, you may see some recovery overvtime.

my partner Mike did another new treatment -sovaldi and olysio - in 2014. he has been undetected now over 2 years!!! he had Hep C for over 40 years. since he was a drinking man too, he had done in his liver and was transplanted in 2011. I have always wondered how much the Hep C did to damage the new liver before treatment. His docs tell him so long as his liver function tests are good, stop worrying. I keep praying it S true that the healthy liver cells will repair any damage.

Mike was treated in 2003 with Interferon and Ribavirin. That regimen had difficult side effects and is rarely used now.
