High AST, ALT and Bili

Hi,
I got tested and my results are as follows:
AST 1100
ALT 270
Bili 1.3

My doctor asked me to get tested again to confirm the strange results, saying that normally when the AST is that high the ALT is usually half that. So, I'm waiting for my doctor to call with the next test results. Can anyone provide any useful feedbacK?

Hi 1100,
That is strange.. Did you get the other liver tests? Your bilirubin is high normal. My feelings are, possibly an error. Hopefully!!!
Ast levels that high are usually due to acute hepatitis. Did you start any new meds, or ingest anything possibly toxic. Have you had any liver disease before . By the way, how are you feeling? Why did you seek medical help?

You should get an answer soon, with those numbers. Please let me know how the next tests go. Best of luck to you
