Submitted Dissertation Manual

Great to hear from you...good luck on your dissertation submission. How does it work now? Do they get to grill you on your submission? I got all my PhD work done then got preggers 2x in 18 months and never finished my dissertation...over 40 years ago now...have always regretted that.

News here: Mike okay, had major back surgery in December but better every day. He had a squamous cell thingie on his face last summer, they excised and he had 6 weeks of radiation. Doing well with both now. My appendix cancer seems not to have metastasized, though I have tests coming up and a trip to MD Anderson in March. Once you have cancer, they check you out often.

We are both going slower these days.

Wonderful to see a post from you. And such wonderful news! Congrats on submission of your dissertation and on your daughter's good news.

Dougie is doing very well. His sobriety is solid and his labs are in normal or very close to normal. Me, I am doing well too.

Best of luck on the process. Please let us know how you are doing and when we can start calling you Dr Sandia!

Sandia...this is the worst part I think, the defense....but you have worked long and hard on this and so shold do well. I think one of the reasons I didn't finish the dissertation part was the stats...I had no computer skills (yet) and was mystified by a stats instructor who spoke with such a strong accent he was hard to understand and was one of those brilliant people who can write on the chalk board using both hands...so hard to understand and facing away from the class during all the lectures. Good luck with the tutor...that is a great idea.

All...hoping the winter is treating you gently. I don't check that often these days, but would love to hear how everyone is doing.
