HCC Exception Score?

My wife has been actively listed on the Transplant list at the University of Washington Medical Center for more than two years and now she may have HCC. Her current MELD Score has been around 14, if it does turn out to be HCC how will her Meld score raise with exception points?

I asked my brothers dr. The same question. I was told that exception points were given according to the size of the lesion.
1 lesion 2-5cm, or 2 lesions<3cm, are initially given a meld of 22..
Then they are increased by 10%. For every3 months since diagnoses.

Has your wife had any further testing since your last post.

She is going in tomorrow and will have a repeat Ct and the blood work and see the transplant dr. I heard the exception point thing changed in 2015 but couldn't figure out how it worked.

I took a look at the change.. oct 2015.. hcc dx after oct 2015, points will be delayed 6 months. Then be given 28.. those that started at 22. Will also be given 28 at 6 months, then capped at 34..
