Was this a bad drug reaction, or ongoing statin use?

Statins are known to raise Alt and Ast. But usually are monitored initially.. His dr should be able to tell you more, after clearing up the ammonia levels. May take a few days.

Can you tell me more about his liver disease? Such as other symptoms, and how long he has had cirrhosis?
Let me know what his dr tells you.
