Hi. It's been almost a year. Stopped in to say hello

My hep/gastro doctor during my last visit said my NASH/Cirrhosis has stabilized with my meld score being at 14. He now wants to see me every six months (next appointment is mid-April. Last appointment was late Sept).
He said my numbers all look good for me (not good for a healthy person but no change for me). I lost over 67 pounds until I had another fall due to my blood pressure bring high from tons of stress. Cardio doctor put me on a new blood pressure med and it resulted in massive weight gain from fluid retention. So, now I'm off that med and hoping weight will go back down.

Lactulose is now taken on an as needed basis. I'm taking a tablespoon every two days just to make certain I stsy on track.

Does anyone know if epidural cortisone shots damage the liver? Pain management doctor recommended it 2-4 times a year to manage chronic nerve pain that radiates from tye back down my injured leg.

The pain management doctor was made well aware of my liver and cardiac issues

We did the first epidural and it has lessened the pain tremendously. I was able to cut way down on pain meds. He said this should help for two to four months. We'll see. I'm on week three now with only minor pain.
