Thanks for reading first off. Any feedback would be great. If this is not the appropriate section I am very sorry.
I am 41 years old. I have hypertension, and have past drug abuse history. I am dual diagnosed ( Mental disorders, along with drug abuse ) Generalized anxiety as well as depression. I took pain meds for years. I'm on the right path now or trying to be. I'm really confused.
My Pcp took blood work over the last year, and in 3/3 my liver enzymes were high. They did a bunch of blood work, and didn't get anything from it. I was sent for a stat ultra sound, it looked fine. I was sent to a specialist a GI, and he referred me for an ct scan ( with contrast ) of my liver/abdomen.
They called me yesterday and I was told that he didn't see anything in the Ct scan accept for maybe stools around that area.
The lady at the specialists office asked if I got the blood work done. I had no idea about it. I told her that my PCP did a lot of blood work so they are trying to get ahold of each other to figure out if I already had it done, or to refer me for extensive blood work.
After my blood work ( about 3 times ) within the last couple weeks from my pcp, and the ultra sound as well as ct scan of my liver, what is extensive blood work and what can they be looking for that they didn't see in regular blood work or in the ultra sound or ct scan ? Has me pretty shook or worried.
I had a lot of blood work done, plus those other tests, now she was talking about extensive blood work.
I was hoping I could get some advice or feedback of any kind would be more then appreciated.
Thank you so much!
