After 8 years of treatments HCV cleared in 2012 and HCV detected 8/2021

Hi all. I was diagnosed with Chronic HCV in 2000( 7 blood transfusions in 1982). Went on treatments for the following nine years. In 2012 my test came back non detected. Last month was my annual HCV test and it came back detected.
All treatments I took I was a non Responder. However the last treatment included Incivek which helped me clear the virus. That cocktail was a living nightmare. Since I’ve been a non responder in the past, will I need a different cocktail than just the pills?

I cured my hep c with uncivil also. What a nightmare. I got kidney failure 3 weeks into my treatment. But I couldn’t stop. I made it thru a year.

Did you test positive for hcv with a pcr test? You likely did. Anyhow, unlike hep b, you can get reinfected with hcv. Luckily for you , todays drugs are a picnic.
