red palms

Hi, I have had a series of digestive probs over the past year, have been diagnosed with gerd and ibs after normal blood tests, cat scan, and scopes.

Lately my hands have been hurting, especially when i wake up in the morning. 

They also seem redder than normal, sometimes red with white spots, sometimes red when lower than my waist, more pal in the morning and when higher than my head. 

I am worried about liver disease, but with normal tests doctors tell me that I have no problem theer.  I have a carpal tunnel test scheduled for next week.

any ideas?

JS, it could just be arthritis, or carpal tunnel as mentioned by Trish. There is also a circulatory disorder called Raynaud's disease (I have this.) However, the hands (palms) usually turn red, white, and blue when exposed to cold. If your blood work is normal, I don't think you have to worry about liver problems, and that is GREAT news! :)

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a medical condition in which the medial nerve at the lower forearm/wrist becomes compressed, causing tingling, numbness, and pain.  This is usually caused by repetitive movement over years, such as that of a cashier or typist.  I don't believe red hands to be a symptom.
