     I will be needing a liver transplant soon. Can anyone who has had a transplant tell me how they're doing. Did you recover well?

   Did you gain weight? Just let me know what to expect.

I've never had a transplant but know of a group that do talk a lot about transplants so I expect they do have some in their that are on a list or have had them.

TMP, My husband is currently on the waiting list for a transplant. I have talked to others who have had a transplant, and they are doing very well. The waiting for the call is something else!

I had a liver transplant in April of 2006. I am very happy to tell you I am doing very well. I am not sure if I can tell you what to expect, as everyone has their own unique experience. If you have any specific questions, I would be happy to give you feedback in relation to both the physical and emotional journey, so far.

I pray for your well being and you are not alone.

Fins and lj2006, My husband is currently waiting for his Transplant and I know he would love to talk to someone who has been through it! He is getting depressed and has other issues as well.

I would be happy to speak with your husband. Even with all the support in the world, this experience is very difficult and isolating.
