Just Diagnosed with NASH

I was just wondering what the difference was between NASH and autoimmune hep is. I already have Sarcoidosis which is autoimmune and can affect the liver. It has already destroyed my thyroid, adrenal glands and has caused my kidneys to malfunction. I have been batteling this illness for so long I do not know how much more I can take.

Hi Christy,

I was just surfing the net b/c I didn't know what NASH was and it appears that it is more similar to NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease). Since AIH is purely an autoimmune disorder I think maybe some of the symptoms might be the same as the liver is still affected but treatment would be different.

Sorry to hear about your new diagnosis, sounds like you've had more than your share of health problems. I hope everything is under control with the pharmacy of meds you're on. I wish you the best of luck and better health!
