Stopping by to say "Hi" and update you on my husband

 Hello everyone....

I hope you are doing well under each one of your circumstances.  I know some of us are having good and bad things go on with ourselves and/or our loved ones. Please take care, have faith and stay strong. Everyone on this forum are always in my thoughts and prayers. My husband Robert and I just came back from Mayo Clinic.  He goes to the clinic about every 6 months.  He has been listed for about a year now.  His score is 13 which is sick enough to be on the list but not sick enough to have a transplant at this time. They don't anticipate him moving up on the list unless he were to become more sick or develop cancer.  Which of course we hope and pray that-that never happens (become more sick).  But with this disease, you never know what can happen from one day to the next. He went through some routine testing and so far everything looks the same. Meaning that he is stable, nothing has really changed. His scans came out negative for cancer and blood work still remains the same.  So the docs just say for him to continue with his meds, continue to see his GI doc and get banded when necessary for his varices and continue with a healthy diet and some excersise. Robert has had three hospital stays this year due to his bleeding varices and for some exteme pains that he gets on his legs.  The doc says either his muscles are shrinking or his electrolytes are out of whack, so he's now on potassium and magnesium along with all the other meds so we'll see if those help with the legs pains.  So, for the most part, Robert has good days and a few bad, he doesn't have to go back to his regular docs until after Christmas, so I hope he continues to do well. With that said, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones.  Take care and I'll continue to read the forum and update when I can....

Thank you ladies.  I'm glad to read that things are going well for you and your loved ones.  I'm trying to take care of myself the best I can.  I have some stress because where I work, they are looking at laying off about 750 people.  This is the only place with good paying salaries and good benefits.  If I were one of the ones to be layed off, I don't know what I would do.  My husband collects his social security and retirement benefits, but I bring in the bulk of bread and pay most all bills and then some.  So I'm a little stressed and worried about that, I've been getting migraine headaches more than usual, so I'm getting those checked out next week, I'm basically going for a physical to see how I'm doing, because I haven't been taking care of myself the way I should.  Shoot, I'm only 34 and feel like I'm an old woman.  So something's gotta change!  I'm happy that Robert is doing good so far and hope that he continues to do well.  So we'll see.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with you rloved ones.
