Help

Hope someone can help me.  I've had what I call "attacks" over a few years now.  When I have an attack, I get violently ill and then get terrible pain in the liver area that radiates into my back.  I cannot breath (feels like I had the breath knocked out of me) when I have these attacks.  Then at times, I feel like I am having minor attacks in which I just hurt in the liver area, feel a little nauseated and my back hurts.  If I'm not having some sort of attack, I'm always tender in the liver area.  I had one of the bad attacks last July and was diagnosed with hepatitis but they decided it was drug induced so they took me off all my medication.  I tried to tell them that I had these attacks years before I started my medication but they didn't listen.  Now I'm taking no medication but am having one of the minor attacks of this since yesterday.  I went to my family doctor today and asked to be referred to a liver doctor but he refused.  Says he wants to do blood work again.  Do these symptoms sound familiar to anyone and if so...what should I do???  I'm scared, confused and frustrated!  I'm so afraid after all these years of battling this that I've got or am going to have liver damage but can't get the doc to listen.  I've had an aunt that had to have a liver transplant and a cousin who died of liver cancer.  Please respond if you have any advise!

I am looking for some answers as well.  My baby brother Mike has had Hep B for about 15 years, the result of unprotected sex with a know needle user.  I am truely over her, but now I have to deal with another loss.  My older brother died of AIDS 10 years ago.  Mike has these attacks too.  he has lots of pain and is currently in the hosp.  the doctors won't tell us much, but gotta love those nurses.  they told me his blood ammonia was up to 45, should be 29-32.  go online and reveiw these symptoms.mike has so much pain at times he cannot stand up.  we think his hep B is progressing based on his exposure to industrial chemicals or mold spores.  he builds roof trusses and when the wood gets moldy his company just washes them with industrial bleach.  he breathes that crap in and he also handles the wet wood bare handed.  i am looking for some answers--i will keep you posted if you keep me posted--se a specialist--if your HMO or isn co needs a referal and your dr won't give you one, the next time you have an attack go to the ER, give them your family history and make sure you tell tham how long the pain has been going on.  Keep God foremost in yor mind and ask for his help.  Reward may not be on your time schedule but He will help.
