consapted but going the loo

can you be constipated but still go the loo for a poo

i have been going the loo each day and i have a dead bad swollen tummy and trapped wind pains back head to

i when to the hosp cos got so bad and he said you are constipated how is it so

My understanding is that having daily movements (being "regular") does not necessarily mean that you're not constipated.  If you are having daily movements, but expelling only a small quantity of waste each time, you can still get seriously backed up.
