you're not alone, oddly enough there seems to be more and more ibs sufferers. makes me wonder if it's something in our foods. mine started about 6 years ago. and it seems it affects me more in the summer but that could just be me after all in the winter time when my stomach is bloated like I'm 9 months pregnant I can pull on a big fluffy sweatshirt, can't do that in the summer months. and I can truly sympathize on the pain, mine usually starts like a giant shaped teardrop right in the center of my stomach it burns and then cramps and bloats sometimes to the point that I can't even stand up straight, I have found the eating anything at fast food restuarants really irritate it. I've never had the diarrhea part it's always been constipation. I do know any processed foods, chocolate, caffiene should be avoided, also sometimes going for a walk can relieve some of the abdominal pressure with the bloating. it helps me to sleep on my stomach, although I heard it's not good on your back.
