I have eliminated my smelly gas after dealing with it for decades. Some of you may have caught my other posts under "smelly gas" on other threads.
Oils play a key role in eliminating gas, but are not a cure in and of themselves. I do use olive oil, but I use cold pressed sesame oil even more (not toasted).
It's the bacteria that causes the smelly gas, but it is the type of food and the digestibility of it that sets up the bacteria. Fiber, for all it's benefits, can be one of the worst culprits for gas (and much of the associated cramping).
I had trouble with oatmeal for years, now I sautee it in a little sesame oil before cooking it and I no longer have issues
Try lightly frying an egg in a light seame or olive oil. At anoth time try eating a hard boiled egg, with no oil.
Oils range from warm (sesame) to cool (coconut). The warmer oils will help with th gas problem. Olive oil is slightly cooler than sesame, but still considerd warm.
On a side note. I know someone who, anytime he eats something with olive oil, has to make a run for the restroom before the end of the meal.
Gas is a great indicator that your digestive system is off balance. If you address the gas you could avoid much more serious issues that you may already be moving towards.
