TDH/ PILES

 I am a 40 year old man and suffered from piles about 4 months ago. The piles were internal and there was occasional bleeding with no pain. I went to see the doctor who suggested banding which didnt work. Subsequently phenol injections were suggested which also didnt work. I then went to see another colorectal surgeon who suggested a new surgical procedure called THD (Transanal Hemmorhoid Dearterialization). I was told that this is least invasive and I will be up and running in 24 hrs. I ent for the THD operation which was done under GA. Today is day 10 and I am still in pain. The stitching inside the rectum has made my rectum swollen and despite repeated check ups the doctor only suggests that I have to give it more time to heal. My biggest worry is any permanent constriction in the rectum and whether I will be trouble free ever again or not. I am worried if I would be able to go to the gym and even if the swelling subsides whether I will be able to live without the medicines. The doctor is giving me assurances that its all going to be fine but I am scared. Please can anyone who has had a surgical procedure on hemmorhoids comment. Is rectum stretchable enough that once the swelling subsides I would not feel the obstruction? Also any ideas on how to reduce this swelling inside quickly. I am having fibers and some pain killers.
