Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and just wanted to see if there are others out there feeling the way I do. I was diagnosed with IBS about 14 years ago. For a long time it never really bothered me that much but in the last few years it seems to be becoming a daily battle. I honestly would love a complete day where I felt well.
Does anyone else out there feel that their whole digestive system just doesn't seem to be working? I can feel okay and then I have breakfast (normally a scone and cappuccino) and then usually will start to get crampy pains. Within about half an hour to an hour I will go to the toilet but I never seem to feel relieved by this. Then the lethargy starts and I just feel as if every bit of energy is being zapped out of me.
I get a lot of queassiness and nausea too, bloating, noisy rumbling stomach, crampy twinges.
Sometimes I get loose bowel movements - very occasionally totally soft almost liquid ones. I also get constipation sometimes too. I get a lot of streaks of yellow mucuous in movements.
Does any of this sound familiar to anyone and can anyone give any advice on how to cope with this because I'm really getting down about it.
Thank you
