Some of the symptoms of IBS can mimic ovarian cancer symptoms

I lost a friend to Ovarian cancer because they were concentrating on intestinal issues. She worked for a wonderful Doctor but he missed it also. I don't remember if she had a CT scan for stomach problems. My guess would be that she didn't until it was too late. A pelvic CT scan should be done with all intestinal problems. The blood test for ovarian cancer is not always accurate but it will give more false positives than negatives. Most Doctor don't put a lot of faith in it alone.

Actually I found out I've got IBS even though I suspected for years I did,but doctors gaffed me off and sent me on my way with laxatives,claiming, consipation. I went to my GYN because I thought maybe the cramping was coming from female problems,my GYN that's a D.O doctor,not an MD,for those that don't know the difference,Md's just treat symptoms, where a D.O treats the body,she refered me to a Gi Doctor that diagnosed the IBS. Thank god for D.O doctors or I would still be miserable.
