My intestines feel so weird...

Hi ya'll.

After 6 months of suffering from pain i am finally having a colonoscopy in 2 weeks.

Anyhoozle, i am still nervous all the time, even now.

Having these new symptoms pop up..i've had continous pain on my upper left abdomen all the time, and the sick spot gurgles an awful lot. I thought it might be gas, but now there is this really weird thing that it gurgles every time i move or bend forward... it's like "bend forward....GURGLE...bend back...GURGLE..bend forth...GURGLE"

It's slightly disturbing! What on earth can it be?

Anyone else get this?

Sometimes I feel like there's an alien ready to pop out of my gut, at any moment (like the movie!)......my gut seems to have a mind of its own somedays. And then other days it's quiet.

But yes mine feels weird (compared to how I used to feel).

The only time I ever recall having issues with D was when had 3 lobster dinners over an 8 day period when our family took a trip up the east coast. We were in Maine and fresh lobster dinners was very, very reasonable, compared to prices down here in OH! That last dinner worked as well as a bowel prep does. I was up the entire night and we were leaving bright and early in the morning to come home. This was about 15 years ago, long before my colon resection.

Now you couldn't pay me to eat 3 lobster dinners in an 8 day period. LOL I know what would happen to my gut - it would go on strike!

But yes I feel odd over 50% of the time now. Like a big ole walking colon. Just slap a huge C on my shirt. LOL

I know where everything is located now, so anytime another person says oh I don't feel well, where is your appendix located again? I can tell them.

I was so naive before and clueless about all of this. Would I trade these days for those days - yes! In a heartbeat.

Oh to poop only once a day and that would be it.

Hang in there, I think for many of us, bowel issues are just SOP now. Sad, but true.
