The good news - I am not sensitive to gluten. I tested low for it. That was very good news to learn.
Not exactly bad news but a dozen or so items were high:
asparagus
blueberry (pineapple and strawberry)
cheese
honey
cow's milk
safflower
salmon
yeast, bakers and brewers
yogurt
I'm to eliminate these foods from my diet for 2 weeks and then go back to the doctor. I could have had the more thorough menu booklet personally made for my results but a high fiber diet is almost impossible for me (dealing without my sigmoid). Because I tested so high for yeast, sugar is out. Since sugar feeds the yeast. So no soda, no sweets, no candy, I could have artificial sweeteners but I'd prefer not to. No fruit or fruit juice, because of the sugar content. No milk either.
I was highly allergic to milk for the first 3 years of my life but I eventually outgrew it. However milk is not something I want. I might enjoy it in my cereal or to cook with it but I hardly ever have a glass of milk. I don't get sick after consuming milk, I just sometimes do not feel so well. The doctor said even if you outgrew a milk allergy, you still test very high for it and it's best to just avoid it. It's easy for me to take calcium supplements, no hardship there. Goodbye milk! Never really missed ya.....LOL If I truly want milk she said I can buy goat or rice milk. Which I may do. And yogurt is out but I take an acidophilis pill each day.
After seeing my results I realize now that I seem to crave what I shouldn't ultimately eat. What's up with that? I have joked there's a beast living in my gut, but it's so odd. I enjoy sipping hot tea, with sugar. I munch on pretzels, saltines and I love plain white bread you buy at the bakery. Toasted. Or plain english muffins.
I can still enjoy baked goods, they just have to be yeast free.
So a visit to my local health food store is in order.
Wish me luck with this! Can't hurt to try avoiding these foods. Maybe I'd feel better than I do when I have my worst days. That would be sweet! Even if my life was improved 25% by avoiding yeast, I'd be onto something......and the doctor said it's not for life. Just eat these foods in moderation later on (except milk, she said I just should never have cow's milk ever again, I have to agree with her).
Thanks for reading. I welcome any input or suggestions.

Do you have IBS_D? What do they do when they do a food panel test?

Update - I am on this elimination diet and feel just sick!
My gut is rumbling.......I had bread made with tapioca and rice flour. Wheat thins made with rice flour. Because this doctor thought I should eliminate yeast, I can't have most breads/bagels. I fall in line with the gluten free products (from reading the backs of boxes, food items).
Starting to think I shouldn't go cold turkey here. I should probably eliminate milk and dairy, this I know. Over 50% of the time I don't feel so well after dairy. I could pull back on yeast.
Just wanted to share, in case anyone is following my topic.
I just did this test to rule out gluten allergies. At least I am not allergic to gluten!
